George Beverly Shea celebration

Our very popular Men's Curry Night is back in 2012. It's a hit with a whole range of guys and proven to be a great time to hang out with others over a nice hot curry - although some are known to be partial to a mild korma dish. Martin Deeks is our curry man and is looking after the organising of the night. If you'd like more info or would like to let him know that you're coming, drop him a note via the web-site Contact Page.
7:30pm on Friday 27th January 2012 - Prince of India, Station Road, Pitlochry.
The theme for holiday club this year was “Pirates of the Galilean” and we took the children on an adventure in search for treasure.
We learned how our treasure on earth only lasts so long before it breaks or needs replaced, but in heaven we have the best treasure – JESUS! We learned that Jesus wants to be first in our life, and that having treasure is okay, as long as it doesn’t take the place of Jesus. We also talked about how God thinks of us as treasure! We are His treasure because He created us, made us unique and loves us so much… even when we make mistakes. In fact, God loves us so much He sent His Son to die on the cross for us. We finished the week by learning how God wants us to love Him with everything we’ve got, and the best way to love Him is to give your life to Him. It is then through God’s love that we can love others.
There were 64 children in total from P1 – P7 registered for the week. The children had a lot of fun learning different circus skills, making crafts, showcasing talents, and getting messy. The children asked some great questions during our small groups and you could see God working in many of their hearts, challenging them on what they were hearing during the teaching time. A few of the children even made the decision to give their lives to God!! J
Thank you to all who were involved in making Rockstar happen this year! We appreciate your hard work, love, support, encouragement and prayers. Hope to see you again next year!!
'This summer 3 of our young people and our pastor participated in a new joint initiative between Soul Survivor and YWAM (Youth With A Mission). They travelled to a YWAM base in Nuneaton called King's Lodge for the training boot camp for a number of outreach teams who would be sent to the Philippines, Romania, the island of Sicily, and a number of towns arose England. Our groups joined up with Andy and Catherine Kennedy who were leading the Heart of England team to an estate called Westlands in the town of Droitwich. We anticipate that Short-Term Mission initiatives like this one will increasingly feature the life of our church community and were therefore excited to send out and tune in to the blogs that our young people and pastor wrote each day.'

This years Children's Holiday Club will be 'Pirates of the Galilean'. The club will run from Monday 8th August till Friday 12th August. Each day photographs will be posted on this website so check back and see what the children have been up to.
